Music is one of the most beautiful and moving things ever created. I hope most people would only agree. It makes people come alive, see things in a whole new light, connect with their heart, forget the daily grind… However, it goes beyond that. Music can (and increasingly does) help raise funds for charitable causes. This is one of the reasons I am so inspired to do music – I am convinced that we can make the world a better and more well-off place thanks to it! As mentioned previously I was one of the organisers of a charitable piano recital. The concert took place on 5 Sep 2014 in Nice and it went as well as a concert can go. It was sold out, the talented and charismatic artist giving the concert, GéNIA, played exceptionally and I have a feeling that everyone in the audience was deeply moved and will cherish the memory of the night for a long time to come. The event raised 1,500 euros, of which 1,400 euros went to UNICEF. The money will allow UNICEF to school 560 girls for the duration of one academic year in one of the following countries: Guinea, the Republic of Mozambique, Togo, Malaysia or Madagascar.
